Guardz and Palo Alto add Prisma Browser protection for small businesses

cybersecurity workspace with browser protection

Guardz has integrated Prisma Browser for Business from Palo Alto Networks into its Agentic Workspace Security platform for managed service providers. The update links browser protection with email, identity, endpoint, data and user risk so small businesses can investigate and respond to threats across the workspace.

Browser defense now covers phishing links, malware checks and browser-based AI use

Guardz protects browser activity alongside email, identity and endpoint signals. A phishing email can lead to a fake login page, and the browser integration can block that page while Guardz ties the browser event to the original email, related Microsoft 365 activity and endpoint telemetry for a single identity. The company also says MSPs and its 24/7 managed detection and response team can treat the related activity as one incident.

Phishing and session-theft blocking

Prisma Browser for Business uses inline machine-learning phishing detection and Advanced URL Filtering to stop malicious pages, including fake login pages and attacks aimed at stealing live session tokens. It also uses WildFire file analysis to identify malicious files, scans uploads and downloads, and flags risky extensions.

Guardz deployment and AI controls

Guardz says the browser protection can be deployed within minutes through provisioning, setup and default configuration. An early-access MSP, Datawise Networks, said the rollout through its RMM was smooth and that the extension was installed on every Chrome and Edge profile within minutes.

Guardz AI Usage and Control lets technicians apply client-specific rules for copying, pasting, uploading and downloading files by website or category. Guardz has also added an AI usage report that gives MSPs a per-client view of AI tool use based on all signals, with the controls enforcing policy and the report showing adoption.

Palo Alto Networks on the browser’s role

Shivam Srivastava, VP Product at Palo Alto Networks, said the browser has become the office for many small businesses and that the partnership brings Prisma Browser for Business into the security they receive from trusted providers. He said the integration connects browser protection with wider coverage and support from the MSP.
